Lovin' you Lynne

W.O.D. "Lynne" She has made a quick return from last month. 5 rounds of: Body Weight Bench Press x max reps and pull-ups x max reps. Total your bench reps and pull-ups at the end for an overall total number of reps. This is an un-timed workout so catch your breath, get your wits back between exercises, and EXPLODE!

Remember the mantra, "Oxygen is my Manna". Keep Pushing through the pain. It's worth the hurt! Rule of thumb: If you rest to catch your breath than go by the three breath rule. No more than 3 breaths of rest; 4 or more is too much. Keep fighting through the pain!

I encourage everyone to visit the website, CROSSFIT. If you are in Columbia, please visit the local crossfit gym website, CarolinaCrossfit.

Keep Attacking!

Many of you, who are applying to the program have asked me, "Capt Soto, what can I be doing to prepare for the boards?" The answer is Run, Run, Run; in that order! Qualified young men and women are not selected each year because the boards were very competitive. That will not change any time soon. For the record, Males need to be able to do the following when it comes time to do your PFT to be competitive for the board: 17+ pullups, 100 crunches in two minutes or less, and the 3 mile run in less than 21 minutes. Females: 70 seconds on the flex arm hang, 100 crunches, and 24 minutes or less on the run. Honestly folks, if you can't do that on your PFT than I would suggest maybe you look into the other services because you won't make it for us. If you aren't there now but are dedicated and committed to getting there, then you are who we are looking for.
